Update on shipping times and inventory levels

Andrew Norton

Just an update on shipping and inventory of our gift baskets. As of 5:50 this evening (December 15, 2009) we are sold out of all of our gift baskets and boxes. We will be closed December 21 through January 4, 2010. We will begin shipping baskets again on January 5, 2010. With Michigan's economy the way it is these days we are shocked that we ran out of products, but are very thankful for the plethora of orders. We will ship the last of the orders by Friday, December 18th.

Thank you for your kind support and business throughout the year.

Our phones are up and running

Andrew Norton

Due to a software issue of some kind from our phone provider calls were not going through and to customers calling in it sounded as though we were closed for the day (we weren't, but I wondered why things were SO quiet :) ). Well, things are all corrected now so you can reach us again by phone at 888-800-1236 for all of your Michigan gift basket needs. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Have a Great Day!

Our phones are down, but you can still contact us

Andrew Norton

Just wanted to let folks know that for some reason our phones are down. While we work with the phone company on a workable solution you can still contact us. Drop me an email with any questions/comments at anorton [@] giftbasketsfrommichigan.com (without the brackets and spaces of course). Also, if you're on Twitter you can send me a message or @reply at www.twitter.com/nortman. Online orders are working just fine so as long as you don't need to pause in order to email a question - place your online order as you normally would. Thanks for your patience and I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. I'll post an update here when the phones are working again.

Pardon our dust while we renovate our blog

Andrew Norton

I am in the process of upgrading our blog's look for the first time in far too long. Please bear with me as I get the look adjusted. I'm trying to keep most of the old and incorporate some new for a nice clean look. As this is tested, fixed, and tested again things will look a bit different for a few days. Feel free to offer suggestions and comments on the new look here in the 'comments' area for this post.

Have a Great Day!

Hey, we're back from vacation!

Andrew Norton

We spent a wonderful week traveling around the great state of Michigan. I have a ton of pictures to share from different places around Michigan as well as some of our favorite stops. I just finished up the shipments for tomorrow (thank you, thank you for the orders!) so I'll tackle a blog post detailing our adventures tomorrow. We're back to shipping all orders within 48 hours of purchase and everything that was ordered while we were closed for a week is being shipped tomorrow.

It was sure fun to see so much of our state, but it is great to be home, too.

Follow me on Twitter for extra updates

Andrew Norton

Well, you're probably asking yourself, "What is twitter and why should I follow you?" Twitter is like a blog only instead of unlimited characters (you know, letters, spaces and numbers ;) ) you are limited to 140 characters. It's been described as micro-blogging. I've been using it for brief updates on uploaded photos to the All Things Michigan photostream at flickr.com, new gift baskets, Squidoo pages, Michigan travel locales/deals, and many other "brief" items. Sometimes it is just to shout out that there is a new blog post here at All Things Michigan for those of you that have not subscribed.

So, if you're interested feel free to - Follow me on Twitter.
