Why are we donating 1% of each sale to the Food Bank Council of Michigan?

We want to be more than just a business that generates income and promotes the state of Michigan. At the end of the day we want to know that we made a difference to help someone in need. To do that we decided to help feed those in Michigan by donating 1% of all our sales to the Food Bank Council of Michigan.

We know that this is just a small part that we are playing in the effort to stop hunger in Michigan. With each of your sales, we take one more small step towards that goal.

The Food Bank Council of Michigan is a statewide organization that helps provide the food banks in Michigan with the millions of pounds of food needed each year to feed the hungry. In 2008, the Michigan food bank network distributed 50.2 million pounds of food (up 25% from 2007). If you read the papers and watch the news lately, you know that the need for food is only going to increase.
