I don’t mean to be so heavy these days on the demolition of Tiger Stadium, but it’s not everyday that a historic Michigan structure with so many fans is ripped down.
This was recorded by someone from www.BuildingsofDetroit.com.

Vintage 8mm Film of Metro Detroit circa 1954
0 Comments Published April 19th, 2006 in Michigan HistorySomeone shot some 8mm film of Detroit in 1954 while driving around. It is amazing to see the vibrant businesses and the huge number of people walking around downtown. Detroit was clearly in its heyday.
Watch for a shot of Briggs Stadium (Tiger Stadium) in the beginning of this film. What a neat peak at how Detroit looked in its glory days.
