The opportunities for MP3 players being used by special needs students are endless. I know a lot of those kids need tests read to them and this would be a great way to go about that. You could have a master MP3 of the test and load it up on an iPod. That way, the teacher only has to read the test once. I'm from Carson City which has one of the poorest school systems in the state so I'm against anything that would cut state funding. My daughter has some learning disabilities and doesn't readily process lectures enough to be able to write notes. If she had lectures on an ipod she could use it to study with and I know it would greatly increase her chances at successfully learning the material presented. Just a thought.
