Three Rivers potato farm, Walther Farms, featured in Lay’s Potato Chip commercial

by admin on July 3, 2009

I received a link to this commercial on twitter via MSUGreeen. While watching the commercial I saw that it featured Brian and Gary Walthers of Walther Farms. Their sign for Walther Farms in the commercial looked familiar and I knew I had seen it before. Turns out it’s a forehead slap moment for me as the farm is just up the road outside of Three Rivers, Michigan. Now I know why their sign looked SO familiar ;) .

I love the commercial and I have to say – make sure you buy some Lay’s potato chips for the 4th of July cookout and help support Michigan potato farmers. To see exactly what farm your chips came from go to the Lay’s Chip Tracker. I was disappointed to find that chips I had purchased in Three Rivers came from a farm in Indiana. You would think they could carry chips produced from the harvest of the local potato farm. Oh well, better luck next time.

If the video player does not appear, you can watch the commercial at YouTube.
