Top Ten Things to do in Michigan in the Fall

Fall has been a hot topic of interest here at All Things Michigan the past couple of weeks. Everyone is searching for news about Michigan Fall Colors, Michigan Color Tours, Michigan Corn Mazes, and Apple Picking in Michigan.

I thought it only fitting to throw out a Top Ten List using Michigan in the fall as a topic. Feel free to add your two cents to the discussion and add on to this Top Ten.

  1. Uncle John’s Cider Mill in St. Johns
  2. Just a Plain Farm in Carp Lake
  3. Take a drive through the Tunnel of Trees on M-119
  4. Tahquamenon Falls near Paradise (of course)
  5. Cut River Gorge Bridge for fantastic pictures of Michigan’s fall colors
  6. Porcupine Mountains – specifically Lake of the Clouds, simply gorgeous.
  7. Pick apples at one of the hundreds of Michigan Apple Orchards
  8. Visit any of the numerous festivals – Red Flannel Festival in Cedar Springs, Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival in Alpena, and many others
  9. Drive U.S. 12 from Detroit to New Buffalo – there are Cider Mills, orchards, farm markets, and many other unique stops on the old Chicago Road.
  10. If you like to get scared the Niles Haunted House is a must see attraction.
