Picked over 30 pounds of blueberries at Locke’s Fruitful Acres

This morning we took the kids blueberry picking at Locke’s Fruitful Acres. Even though the owner, Victoria, said they suffered some frost damage this spring I thought the blueberry bushes were just as plentiful as in past years.

The picking was easy and in a little over an hour we had 5 buckets overflowing with blueberries. The final tally on the great 2008 blueberry weigh-in was about 31.5 pounds. This year the U-Pick price is $1.50 per pound and if you don’t want to pick you can buy a ten pound box for $20.
