At first my family thought I was hallucinating-- seeing the light from town reflected etc. but I soon proved myself right! :o) An amazing sight to behold. Northern Lights @ night and a couple of freighters during the day and throw in a couple of good sunsets- talk about cheap entertainment! Bugs aren't really a problem when you camp near the water. We saw many freighters and saw beautiful sunsets. We hiked one of the trails. It was the fasted the two of us have ever hiked - the bugs swarmed if you stopped moving. However, the bugs were only on the trails, it was fun, and we were able to laugh about it. We saw the Northern Lights when we camped there last year and the bugs weren't bad at all.
